Meet Dr. Derek Barnes, DDS

Dr. Derek Barnes was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. After graduating from Centennial High School, he attended Brigham Young University and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Neuroscience in 2007 graduating Magna Cum Laude. Upon completing his undergraduate program he went on to study dentistry at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 2011 graduating Cum Laude there as well. He has now been practicing dentistry for over 13 years.

He is a member of the American Dental Association and Idaho State Dental Association.

Dr. Barnes is happy to be at work and enjoys what he does. He loves meeting new people and getting to know them better at each appointment. He strives to truly listen to his patients, their concerns and what is bothering them. He takes great pride in his work.

Dr. Barnes is married to his wife Julie and is a father to four busy children. He enjoys watching his kids play sports, boating, skiing, camping and taking trips with his family.
